WHAT motivates people to buy plane tickets from an influencer instead of an agency registered under the Ministry of Tourism (MOTAC)?
The answer would remain a mystery, but that does not stop people from complaining about the terrible service they received from celebrity TikToker Kim Seri who sold them tickets to Korea.

The celebrity TikToker already had over 1.1mil followers on her platform, no easy feat considering the negativity she is currently embroiled in.
Recently, a video post on X surfaced, showing an angry netizen complaining about being stuck at the airport as they have yet to receive their tickets from Kim Seri.
The complainer in the video was requesting for a refund from her, which will then be used to buy their own tickets to Korea.
Numerous netizens have since hopped onto the bandwagon to criticise Kim Seri or the people who engaged her services. Netizen K said the name Kim Seri should be changed to Kim Scam.
eFJei remarked that TikTok was not a trusted platform, that users should instead engage the services of a registered travel agency.
“You can check at a MOTAC website,” eFJei said.
Minime, on the other hand, suggested that people visit Korea by themselves since most of the places are easily accessible.
She added that she performed her due diligence even when engaging a yacht service near Langkawi.
One netizen further lamented the fact that people still could trust in her even though her previous food business incurred many bad reviews.
Then there was Zira who frighteningly suggested that dissatisfied customers go over to her shop and rough her up.
Danial Ahmad wondered if the packages she offered were cheap or was there some added value that people would choose her over some registered agency.
Kim Seri has since come forward to apologise, admitting that what happened was due to weakness on the part of her company’s management.
“After being a single mother who manages everything, I’m a bit burnt out, lack of time and rushed to manage everything to the point of neglecting many things,” she said. —Dec 16, 2024
