Change of guard at OpenMove AI with cybersecurity specialist Steven Lim made group CEO from Oct 1

SOFTWARE-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider OpenMove AI Bhd (formerly Rexit Bhd) has appointed Steven Lim Kee Seng as group CEO with effect from Oct 1.

Gallen Lee Choon Teng who is the current CEO will assume the role of Business CEO by focusing on the group’s current SaaS business.

The appointments are part of the re-organisation of the group’s senior leadership team to support its strategic plans to broaden its revenue streams.

His extensive experience in technology, corporate transformation and strategic business development is expected to greatly contribute to the Group as we enter our next phase of growth,” commented OpenMove AI chairman Tengku Tan Sri Mohamad Rizam Tengku Abdul Aziz.

“Our new leadership structure will allow us to place greater focus on strengthening our existing businesses as a leading SaaS solutions provider while enabling us to explore new business streams across different industries.”

Lim, 61, brings over 30 years of experience in national security solutions, corporate restructuring, information and communications technology (ICT) development as well as transformation and strategic business development across the ASEAN region.

Throughout his career, he has held various senior management and strategic advisory positions in the telecommunications, technology and digital transformation sectors.

Lim previously served as a Senior Regional Business Consultant with NEC Asia Pacific, Group CEO of TIME Engineering Bhd (now Dagang NeXchange Bhd) and chief corporate strategy officer of Multimedia Development Corp (now Malaysia Digital Economy Corp or MDEC).

He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Australia’s Edith Cowan University and a Diploma in Electronics Engineering from Singapore’s Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

Elsewhere, OpenMove also announced the resignation of Nicholas Tan Chin Yau as chief operating officer (COO) effective Oct 1 in order to pursue other personal goals and interests.

The leadership changes come as OpenMove AI continues to build on its established SaaS business while expanding its capabilities across artificial intelligence, cloud, data and automation.

The group’s solutions span the insurance, financial services and enterprise sectors as well as logistics, supply chain coordination and public sector digital initiatives.

At the close of today’s mid-day (Sept 25) market trading, OpenMove was up 0.5 sen or 1.03% to 49 sen with 4,000 shares traded, thus valuing the company at RM93 mil. – Sept 25, 2026
