Chef shocks online world with “unconventional” meat preparation

THE world is no stranger to strange food. People from the west may view eastern cuisine with horror and it is vice-versa for the people from the east.

But when west and east were to agree unanimously that a food is strange, then expect something with the magnitude to make jaws hit the ground.

In a video post on X by netizen i like food, several people could be seen fitting a complete crocodile into the griller.

While they were attempting to stuff it in, observers can note that the poor lizard had been wrapped from shoulder to tail in bacon.

We are unsure where the recipe came from, but we can be certain they did not get it from a book in a benign library or bookstore somewhere.

Reading through some of the select comment from netizens, we have to say that we couldn’t agree more with them.

When a topic is about freaky food, you can also expect the picture comments to be “interesting.” Here’s one that takes the cake.

Then there was netizen Jimbo Slice who proved that such meals are quite common after all, or not.

But do people eat crocodile meat? A better question would be, is crocodile meat nutritious?

According to a-z-animals.com, many people have reported this apex predator tasting like salty chicken.

The website went on to state that a 100 g portion of crocodile meat includes 46 g of protein. Interestingly, there is more protein in crocodile meat than in the same amount of chicken.

Also, a serving of 300 g of crocodile meat contains only 23 milligrams of cholesterol. Additionally, potassium, which is essential for maintaining heart health, is found in crocodile meat.

So more power to you, crocodile meat eaters and your unique way of food preparation.

Although we have just educated ourselves on the benefits of crocodile meat, we will just stay with the conventional farm animal, thank you very much. —Jan 5, 2025
