HOT on the heels of having a bone to pick with Youth and Sports Minister Hananh Yeoh over the “Jom Ziarah Gereja” (Let’s Visit Church) programme, Perikatan Nasional (PN)-friendly activist Badrul Hisham Shaharin a.k.a. Chegubard’s moral policing quest continues when he exposes the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender)-centric Thai Hot Guys event slated for grand opening during the holy Ramadhan month.
Whatever the motive of the Bersatu leader is, the Malaysia Madani administration gets chastised for “turning a blind eye” to what is perceived as destructive elements.
“After a successfully promoting the LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning) event in the lobby of a luxury hotel on March 17, they (the participants) also marched openly in the streets in central Kuala Lumpur to promote the LGBTQ event,” claimed Badrul Hisham in a recent Facebook post.
“Until now, both the Religious Affairs Minister (Datuk Mohd Na’im Mokhtar) and Home Minister (Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail) remain muted (despite) the event being openly promoted on social media recently.”
A closer check on Badrul Hisham’s claim reveals that the lingerie-clad Thai Hot Guys from the popular Thai restaurant Staneemeehoi will be performing for the first time in Malaysia at the grand opening of local bar Privacy Club Tun Razak on March 30 (Thursday) which coincides with the fasting month.

Even though Muslims are certainly not welcomed at the event’s premises, Badrul Hisham went on to question the prerogative of the unity government in allowing such event to take place.
“(It’s disheartening) that ustaz (religious teacher) are curbed (from doing their job) with various restrictions … a programme to commemorate the history of Islam was slandered by the Home Ministry as extremism … but LGBTQ people seem to be given freedom,” berated the Bersatu operation director in-charge of elections.
“At the same time, there is abuse to the government budget by the Youth and Sports Ministry to recruit Muslim youth for their “Jom Ziarah Gereja” programme.” – March 22, 2023
