The Communications and Multimedia Ministry has confirmed that Rais Hussin Mohamed Ariff is the new chairman of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC).
This confirms FocusM’s previous article. The position will be held by the Bersatu supreme council member for two years, effective June 15, 2020.
“I am confident that he will go about his responsibilities with dedication to the efforts to build up the digital economy of Malaysia, said Communications and Multimedia Minister Saifuddin Abdullah in a statement.
An entrepreneur with experience in business, information technology and communications, Rais replaces Mathialakan Chelliah who is nearing the end of his two-year term. – June 12, 2020
