COVID-19: 10 new clusters detected as workplace related cases rise across M’sia

THE Health Ministry (MOH) recorded 1,349 new infections as of 12pm today, with the total number of those infected now at 350,959.

As for recovery, the MOH said that a total of 1,270 people have recovered to date, bringing the tally to 335,162.

“However, two people died today, bringing the death toll to 1,288,” said MOH director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, in a tweet.

All who perished were locals.

On related matter, Noor Hisham announced that his ministry has detected 10 new clusters in the country.

Five of them are workplace related, four community based and one detention centre.

“With that, we have 359 active clusters. Eight clusters have ended today. Three clusters that contributed to the high number of cases today are Tembok Sri Aman (159), Jalan Jelawat (70) and Jalan Western (30),” he remarked.
