COVID-19: 1,041 new cases, three deaths

THE Health Ministry today reported 1,041 new COVID-19 cases and three deaths as of 12pm today.

In a special briefing today, the ministry’s director general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that 1,405 patients have recovered from the coronavirus as well.

“For now, the total cases of COVID-19 in the country is 53,679. The total recovery cases now stand at 40,493.

“With three deaths recorded today, the total number of those who have lost their lives to COVID-19 is now at 332,” he added.

Selangor reported the highest number of infections with 402 cases (38.6%), followed by Sabah (346 cases or 33.2%) and Negeri Sembilan (11.6%).

“Selangor recorded the highest number of active cases due to the Teratai cluster,” said Noor Hisham.

He added, “Sabah also has the highest number due to intensive medical swabs while in Negeri Sembilan, the surge is due to the increase in the number of clusters.”

All three who lost their lives were from Sabah.- Nov 21, 2020.
