THE Health Ministry has reported 1,054 new daily COVID-19 cases yesterday (May 4), which brings the cumulative number of cases to 4,452,835.
Of the cumulative new cases, 1,053 are local while one other case is imported.
The CovidNow portal also said that there were 4,107 recoveries on Wednesday, bringing the total number of recoveries to 4,388,491.
Another three deaths attributed to COVID-19 were reported yesterday, with no brought in dead cases.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 35,567 deaths have been attributed to COVID-19.
Of the current cases, 74 cases required treatment in intensive care units (ICU) and 41 cases needed respiratory assistance. – May 5, 2022
