COVID-19: 15,941 new infections, 33 deaths

EARLIER today, Health Ministry’s CovidNow website indicated 33 deaths for yesterday and 11 was declared as “brought in dead”, bringing total fatality to 34,842.

The site indicated 275 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 168 of them in need of ventilator support.

As of yesterday, Malaysia recorded 15,941 infections, bringing the cumulative total 4,183,359.

Moreover, the Health Ministry also announced than 21,186 patients have been recovered, with the total discharged now standing at 3,941,829 

Johor and Kedah which both recorded the highest number of deaths at six deaths each followed by Perak (four), Kuala Lumpur (four), Pahang (three), Sarawak (three), Penang (two), Selangor (two), Kelantan (one), Negri Sembilan (one) and Sabah (one). — March 31, 2022
