COVID-19: 20,923 new infections, 34 deaths

EARLIER today, Health Ministry’s CovidNow website indicated 34 deaths for yesterday and 8 was declared as “brought in dead”, bringing total fatality to 34,751.

The site indicated 302 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 198 of them in need of ventilator support.

As of yesterday, Malaysia recorded 20,923 infections, bringing the cumulative total 4,122,004.  

Moreover, the Health Ministry also announced than 25,467 patients have been recovered, with the total discharged now standing at 3,844,766 

Johor and Kedah which both recorded the highest number of deaths at six deaths each followed by  Selangor (five), Perak (three), Penang (two), Pahang (two), Sarawak (two), Sabah (two), Terengganu (two), Negri Sembilan (two), Melaka (one) and Kelantan (one). — March 27, 2022
