COVID-19: 21,176 fresh cases, Sarawak still top of the list

MALAYSIA has logged 21,176 new COVID-19 cases on Friday (Sept 10), thus bringing the cumulative total to 1,940,950.

In a tweet, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also announced that 21,176 patients have been cured, with the total discharge now standing at 1,678,962.

There were 341 deaths today, bringing the death tally to 19,827.

Sarawak recorded the highest number of cases (3,734), surpassing Selangor which had 3,595 cases. This is followed by Johor (2,297) and Sabah (2,246).

“Of the current active cases, 1,310 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 773 of them in need of ventilator support,” Noor Hisham remarked. – Sept 10, 2021.
