COVID-19: 25,854 new infections followed by 78 deaths in the last 24 hours

EARLIER today, Health Ministry’s CovidNow website indicated 78 deaths for yesterday and 34 was declared as “brought in dead”, bringing total fatality to 32,827.

The site indicated 374 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 213 of them in need of ventilator support. 

As of yesterday, Malaysia recorded 25,854 infections, bringing the cumulative total 3,468,590 

In a tweet, the Health Ministry also announced than 25,548 patients have been recovered, with the total discharged now standing at 3,142,112 

Johor recorded the highest number of deaths at 22 followed by Kedah (15), Selangor (13), Perak (9), Sabah (6), Pulau Pinang (5), Kelantan (2), Melaka (2), Terengganu (2), Negeri Sembilan (1), Pahang (1) and Kuala Lumpur (1). — March 2, 2022
