EARLIER today, Health Ministry’s CovidNow website indicated 16 deaths for yesterday and four was declared as “brought in dead”, bringing total fatality to 35,437.
The site indicated 110 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 68 of them in need of ventilator support.
As of yesterday, Malaysia recorded 7,140 infections, bringing the cumulative total 4,396,165.
Moreover, the Health Ministry also announced than 14,423 patients have been recovered, with the total discharged now standing at 4,264,127.
Selangor recorded highest number of fatalities at five deaths, followed by Johor (three), Kedah (two), Penang (two), Terengganu (two), Perak (one) and Sarawak (one). — April 19, 2022
