COVID-19: Another new record for M’sia, 110 dead

THE Health Ministry (MOH) has reported a new daily record of 13,215 COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the cumulative total to 880,782.

In tweet, Health Ministry director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also reported that 6,095 patients have recovered from the infection and total discharged now stands at 765,800.

He noted that out of the total new cases recorded, 13,202 cases were local transmissions while the rest are imported cases.

Currently, there are 108,369 active cases, in which 885 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 432 of them in need of ventilator support.

Meanwhile, 110 people have succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of fatalities to 6,613.

Selangor continues to record the highest number of cases (6,120), followed by Negri Sembilan (1,603) and Kuala Lumpur (1,499). – July 15, 2021
