COVID-19: Cases down for second day in a row on Oct 24

MALAYSIA has logged 5,666 new COVID-19 infections on Sunday (Oct 24) – a decrease from the 5,828 cases reported a day earlier.

This marks two consecutive days of decline.

To date, the country’s cumulative coronavirus infections stood at 2,431,716, according to a tweet by Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

Meanwhile, 603 individuals were being cared for in intensive care units, and of these, 300 patients are ventilated.

On the same day, there were 6,978 recoveries, bringing the total to 2,327,369.

Meanwhile, according to the CovidNow website, 46 COVID-19-related deaths were reported for Oct 24, bringing the total number of deaths to 28,400. – Oct 25, 2021.
