COVID-19 cases not slowing down, conditions are worrying

THE number of new COVID-19 cases in the country is still on the higher side, nearing towards 2,000 as it stands at 1,889 today.

As if trying to best one another, Selangor (517) is once again reigning as the biggest contributing state to this number, defeating Sarawak and pushing it to second place at 489.

Apart from those two states, three other states are in the hundreds, namely Kelantan (226), Sabah (142) and Wilayah Persekutuan (134).

With the continuously high number of cases still ongoing, it is no wonder that there were eight new deaths recorded today, bringing the total to 1,353.

However, 1,485 patients were discharged today (total 347,780), but there are still 204 patients that are still in intensive care units (ICUs) and 79 of them require ventilator support. – April 14, 2021
