COVID-19 continues to claim lives despite new cases slowing down

WHILE the number of new COVID-19 cases are slowly making its way down (19,378 as of Friday), the number of casualties continue to break its own ceiling, with today registering at 330 deaths.

With that, there has been a total of 17,521 COVID-19 related deaths since the pandemic first started.

Following the Government putting a cap on the price of COVID-19 self-test kits, the number may still increase, as some consider the price to be a bit too high for those that need to do the tests regularly.

Meanwhile, there are still 975 patients in intensive care units (ICUs) with 463 still in need of ventilator support.

Within the last 24 hours, there were also 22,399 recoveries (total 1,528,672). – Sept 3, 2021
