WITH earlier warnings to “prepare for the worst”, Malaysia recorded 7,289 cases today, bringing the cumulative total to 525,889.
In a tweet, Health Ministry director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also announced that 3,789 patients have been cured, with the total discharged now stands at 460,062
“Sixty people have died today, bringing the death tally to 2,369,” he added.
Selangor recorded the highest number of cases again (2,642), followed by Johor (664), Kuala Lumpur (604) and Sarawak (513).
“Of the current active cases, 726 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 373 of them in need of ventilator support,” he remarked. – May 25, 2021.
