MALAYSIA recorded a daily infection rate of 22,897 cases today, bringing the cumulative total to 1,746,254.
In a tweet, the Health Ministry (MOH) also announced that 18,465 patients have been cured, with the total discharged now stands at 1,461,727.
Of the current 267,863 active cases, 1,005 patients are still receiving treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU), with 464 of them in need of ventilator support.
Meanwhile, 282 people have succumbed today, bringing the death tally to 16,664.
Selangor recorded the highest number of fresh cases with 4,371, followed by Sabah (2,594) and Sarawak (2,285). – Aug 31, 2021.
