COVID-19: Death toll back to two-digits; active cases above 130k mark

MALAYSIA recorded a daily infection rate of 12,366 cases today, bringing the cumulative total to 939,899.

In a tweet, the Health Ministry (MOH) also announced that 7,567 patients have been cured, with the total discharged now stands at 798,955.

Of the current active cases, 924 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 448 of them in need of ventilator support

Meanwhile, ninety-three people have succumbed today, bringing the death tally to 7,241.

Selangor recorded the highest number of fresh cases with 5,524, followed by Kuala Lumpur (1,580) and Negeri Sembilan (970). – July 20, 2021.
