AS the mass vaccination programme continues, Malaysia recorded 2,341 new COVID-19 cases today, bringing the cumulative total to 379,473.
In a tweet, Health Ministry director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also announced that 1,592 patients have been cured, with the total discharged now stands at 356,816.
“Three people have died today, bringing the death tally to 1,389,” he added.
Sarawak recorded the highest number of cases today with 600, followed by Selangor (539), Kelantan (429) and Kuala Lumpur (344).
“Of the current active cases, 249 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 95 of them in need of ventilator support,” he remarked. – April 20, 2021.
