COVID-19: Death toll dives to 25 with recoveries surpassing new cases

EARLIER today, Health Ministry’s CovidNow website indicated 25 deaths for yesterday, bringing total fatality to 31,290.

“Of the current active cases, 339 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 180 of them in need of ventilator support,” the site indicated.

As of yesterday, Malaysia recorded 3,425 infections, bringing the cumulative total to 2,728,512.

In a tweet, Health Ministry director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also announced that 4,489 patients have been cured, with the total discharged now stands at 2,657,074.

Johor recorded the highest death toll with six deaths, followed by Terengganu (5), Perak (4) and Selangor (3). – Dec 25, 2021.
