COVID-19: Death toll drops to 25 with more recoveries reported

Earlier today, Health Ministry’s CovidNow website indicated 25 deaths for yesterday, bringing total fatality to 31,487.

“Of the current active cases, 269 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 163 of them in need of ventilator support,” the site indicated.

As of yesterday, Malaysia recorded 3,230 infections, bringing the cumulative total to 2,749,785.

In a tweet, the Health Ministry also announced that 3,988 patients have been cured, with the total discharged now stands at 2,685,378.

Penang recorded the highest death toll with five deaths, followed by Perak (3), Terengganu (3) and Johor (1). – Jan 1, 2022.
