MALAYSIA has logged 14,954 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday (Sept 19), thus bringing the cumulative total to 2,097,830.
According to the Health Ministry’s CovidNow website, 23,469 patients have recovered, with the total discharge now standing at 1,863,919.
There were 376 deaths, including those who had been brought in dead (BID), bringing the death tally to 23,443.
Sarawak has once again recorded the highest number of cases with 2,707 new infections recorded.
This is followed by Selangor (2,028), Johor (1,948), Kelantan (1,420) and Sabah (1,356).
Of the current active cases, 1,191 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 662 of them in need of ventilator support. – Sept 20, 2021
