COVID-19: Johor records eight fatalities, ICU cases dip

EARLIER today, Health Ministry’s CovidNow website indicated 44 deaths on Dec 10 (Friday), bringing total fatality to 30,831.

“Of the current active cases, 393 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 212 of them in need of ventilator support,” the site indicated.

As of yesterday, Malaysia recorded 5,041 infections, bringing the cumulative total to 2,677,426.

In a tweet, Health Ministry director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also announced that 4,997 patients have been cured, with the total discharged now stands at 2,591,819.

Johor recorded the highest death toll with eight deaths, followed by Sabah (6), Terengganu (5) and Pahang (4). – Dec 11, 2021
