COVID-19: Kedah and Johor record 4-digit cases, 207 dead

MALAYSIA recorded a daily infection rate of 14,516 cases today, bringing the cumulative total to 1,027,954.

In a tweet, Health Ministry director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also announced that 9,372 patients have been cured, with the total discharged now stands at 853,913.

“207 people have succumbed today, bringing the death tally to 8,201,” he added.

Selangor recorded the highest number of fresh cases with 6,508 infections, followed by Johor (1,449), Kuala Lumpur (1,425), and Kedah (1,160).

“Of the current active cases, 1,009 patients are still in receiving treatment in intensive care units (ICUs), with 524 of them in need of ventilator support,” he remarked. – July 26, 2021.
