COVID-19: More good news as recoveries beat new cases, 10 clusters ended

THE Health Ministry (MOH) recorded 1,070 new infections as of 12pm today, with the total number of those infected now at 352,029.

As for recovery, the MOH said that a total of 1,294 people have recovered to date, bringing the tally to 336,456.

“However, seven people died today, bringing the death toll to 1,295,” said MOH director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, in a tweet.

All who died were locals.

On related matter, Noor Hisham announced that his ministry has detected only six new clusters in the country.

Five of them are workplace related and the rest are community based.

“With that, we have 355 active clusters. Ten clusters have ended today. Three clusters that contributed to the high number of cases today are Jalan Jelawat (34), Kampung Binyu (34) and Pulau Enoe (14),” he remarked. – April 5, 2021
