THE Health Ministry announced 1,354 new COVID-19 infections and four deaths in the past 24 hours.
In a statement, Health Ministry director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also announced that there were 1,782 recoveries, bringing the total number of those recovered to 306,274.
“We have a total number of 323,763 infection cases as of now. Unfortunately, four people have lost their lives to the coronavirus, bringing the total death toll to 1,210,” he added.
All those who lost their lives were locals.
Selangor detected the highest number of infections today at 577, followed by Sarawak (178) and Penang (154).
On related matter, Noor Hisham announced that his ministry has detected only three new clusters in the country.
Two are workplace related while the one is community based.
“With that, we have 424 active clusters. Five clusters have ended today itself. Three clusters that contributed to the high number of cases today are Tembok Tapah (57), Jalan Kebun Nenas (30) and Rawang Bestari (28),” he remarked. – March 14, 2021.
