THE Health Ministry announced 2,464 new COVID-19 infections and seven deaths in the past 24 hours.
In a statement, Health Ministry director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also announced that there were 4,525 recoveries, bringing the total number of those recovered to 213,814.
“We have a total number of 264,269 infection cases as of now. Unfortunately, seven people have lost their lives to the coronavirus, bringing the total death toll to 965,” he added.
All those who lost their lives were locals.
Selangor still recorded the highest number of infections with 1,103, followed by Johor (492) and Sarawak (161).
On related matter, Noor Hisham announced that his ministry has detected 11 new clusters in the country.
Out of the number, nine are workplace related and the other two are community-based and place of worship, respectively.
“With that, we have 484 active clusters. Ten clusters have ended today; which are Tembok Gajah, Awan Puteh construction site, Hartamas construction site, Perkasa construction site, Rantau Semarak, Rantau Lada, Dialisis Putra, Mengkuang, Jalan Pandan Indah and Firma,” he added. Feb 14, 2021.
