MALAYSIA recorded a daily infection rate of 13,034 cases today, bringing the cumulative total to 964,918.
In a tweet, Health Ministry director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also announced that 8,436 patients have been cured, with the total discharged now stands at 815,293.
“134 people have succumbed today, bringing the death tally to 7,574,” he added.
Selangor recorded the highest number of fresh cases with 6,049 infections, followed by Kuala Lumpur (1,611), Johor (791) and Negeri Sembilan (711).
“Of the current active cases, 938 patients are still in receiving treatment in intensive care units (ICUs), with 459 of them in need of ventilator support,” he remarked. – July 22, 2021.
