COVID-19: Over 100 in ICU as the nation records 3,229 infections

EARLIER today, Health Ministry’s CovidNow website indicated 16 deaths for yesterday, bringing total fatality to 31,831. 

“Of the current active cases, 162 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 76 of them in need of ventilator support,” the site indicated. 

As of yesterday, Malaysia recorded 3,229 infections, bringing the cumulative total to 2,817,163.  

In a tweet, the Health Ministry also announced that 2,848 patients have been cured, with the total discharged now stands at 2,744,203.  

Terengganu recorded the highest death toll with 17 deaths, followed by Pahang (10) and Melaka (10). – Jan 20, 2022
