EARLIER today, Health Ministry’s CovidNow website indicated 17 deaths for yesterday, bringing total fatality to 31,978.
“Of the current active cases, 114 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 62 of them in need of ventilator support,” the site indicated.
As of yesterday, Malaysia recorded 4,774 infections, bringing the cumulative total to 2,870,758.
In a tweet, the Health Ministry also announced that 3,232 patients have been cured, with the total discharged now stands at 2,784,003.
Terengganu recorded the highest death toll last month with 64 deaths, followed by Perak (60) and Johor (56). – Feb 1, 2022
