COVID-19: Over 10k new infections, 28 deaths

EARLIER today, Health Ministry’s CovidNow website indicated 28 deaths for yesterday and seven was declared as “brought in dead”, bringing total fatality to 35,127.

The site indicated 236 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 140 of them in need of ventilator support.

As of yesterday, Malaysia recorded 10,002 infections, bringing the cumulative total 4,256,469.

Moreover, the Health Ministry also announced than 23,302 patients have been recovered, with the total discharged now standing at 4,041,723 

Perak and Selangor each recorded highest number of fatalities at six death, followed by Johor (five), Penang (four), Negri Sembilan (three), Pahang (two), Kedah (one), and Sarawak (one). — April 5, 2022
