COVID-19: Over 12k new infections, 33 deaths

EARLIER today, Health Ministry’s CovidNow website indicated 33 deaths for yesterday and 10 was declared as “brought in dead”, bringing total fatality to 35,160.

The site indicated 234 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 131 of them in need of ventilator support.

As of yesterday, Malaysia recorded 12,017 infections, bringing the cumulative total 4,268,486.

Moreover, the Health Ministry also announced than 20,431 patients have been recovered, with the total discharged now standing at 4,062,154 

Selangor recorded highest number of fatalities at eight deaths, followed by Perak (six), Kedah (four), Sarawak (three), Johor (two), Kelantan (two), Negri Sembilan (two), Pahang (two), Perlis (two), Penang (one) and Kuala Lumpur (one). — April 6, 2022
