COVID-19: Over 130 fatalities today, Kedah records 701 infections

MALAYSIA recorded a daily infection rate of 12,528 cases today, bringing the cumulative total to 905,851.

In a tweet, Health Ministry director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also announced that 6,629 patients have been cured, with the total discharged now stands at 779,171.

“One-hundred and thirty-eight people have succumbed today, bringing the death tally to 6,866,” he added.

Selangor recorded the highest number of fresh cases with 4,985, followed by Kuala Lumpur (1,740), Negeri Sembilan (1,280) and Kedah (701).

“Of the current active cases, 908 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 425 of them in need of ventilator support,” he remarked. – July 17, 2021.
