COVID-19: Over 18k new infections, 10k in Selangor alone

EARLIER today, Health Ministry’s CovidNow website indicated 44 deaths for yesterday and eight was declared as “brought in dead”, bringing total fatality to 34,983.

The site indicated 267 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 164 of them in need of ventilator support.

As of yesterday, Malaysia recorded 18,560 infections, bringing the cumulative total 4,201,919.

Moreover, the Health Ministry also announced than 18,253 patients have been recovered, with the total discharged now standing at 3,960,082 

Perak recorded the highest number of deaths at 12 deaths each followed by Selangor (11), Johor (six), Sarawak (five), Penang (three), Kelantan (two), Sabah (two), Terengganu (two) and Negri Sembilan (one). — April 1, 2022
