COVID-19: Over 200 in ICU as the nation records 2,757 infections

EARLIER today, Health Ministry’s CovidNow website indicated 35 deaths for yesterday, bringing total fatality to 31,369. 

“Of the current active cases, 297 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 169 of them in need of ventilator support,” the site indicated. 

As of yesterday, Malaysia recorded 2,757 infections, bringing the cumulative total to 2,743,936.  

In a tweet, the Health Ministry also announced that 4,620 patients have been cured, with the total discharged now stands at 2,669,650.  

Putrajaya recorded the highest death toll with 32 deaths, followed by Kelantan (24), Terengganu (22) and Klang Valley (20). – Dec 28, 2021.
