EARLIER today, Health Ministry’s CovidNow website indicated 16 deaths for yesterday, bringing total fatality to 31,644.
“Of the current active cases, 254 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 114 of them in need of ventilator support,” the site indicated.
As of yesterday, Malaysia recorded 3,062 infections, bringing the cumulative total to 2,769,533.
In a tweet, the Health Ministry also announced that 3,447 patients have been cured, with the total discharged now stands at 2,708,739.
Johor recorded the highest death toll with four deaths, followed by Sabah (3), Kedah (2) and Selangor (2). – Jan 8, 2022
