EARLIER today, Health Ministry’s CovidNow website indicated 43 deaths for yesterday and 20 was declared as “brought in dead”, bringing total fatality to 32,433.
“Of the current active cases, 286 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 180 of them in need of ventilator support,” the site indicated.
As of yesterday, Malaysia recorded 27,179 infections, bringing the cumulative total 3,273,958.
In a tweet, the Health Ministry also announced than 19,037 patients have been cured, with the total discharged now standing at 2,974,441.
Sabah recorded the highest death toll with 12 deaths, followed by Johor (9), Negri Sembilan (4), Selangor (4), Kedah (3), Kelantan (3), Pulau Pinang (3), Malacca (2), Perak (2), W.P. Kuala Lumpur (1). – Feb 23, 2022
