COVID-19: Recoveries beat new cases but don’t celebrate yet!

MALAYSIA recorded a lower daily infection rate at 5,793 cases today, bringing the cumulative total to 652,204.

In a statement, Health Ministry director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also announced that 8,334 patients have been cured, with the total discharged now stands at 572,113.

“76 have died today, bringing the death tally to 3,844,” he added.

Selangor recorded the highest number of cases again with 1,582, followed by Negeri Sembilan (618) Sarawak (569) and Kuala Lumpur (559).

“Of the current active cases, 914 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 459 of them in need of ventilator support,” he remarked. – June 12, 2021.
