COVID-19: Recoveries beat new infections, 45 dead as of yesterday

EARLIER today, Health Ministry’s CovidNow website indicated 45 deaths for yesterday, bringing total fatality to 30,240.

“Of the current active cases, 519 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 267 of them in need of ventilator support,” the site indicated.

As of yesterday, Malaysia recorded 5,476 infections, bringing the cumulative total to 2,608,651.

In a tweet, Health Ministry director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also announced that 6,664 patients have been cured, with the total discharged now stands at 2,516,693.

Perak and Sabah recorded the highest death toll with eight deaths, followed by Johor (5), Kuala Lumpur (4) and Kelantan (4). – Nov 27, 2021
