EARLIER today, Health Ministry’s CovidNow website indicated 109 deaths for yesterday, bringing total fatality to 26,565.
“Of the current active cases, 890 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 485 of them in need of ventilator support,” the site indicated.
As of yesterday, the authorities detected 10,915 infections, bringing the cumulative total to 2,268,499.
In a tweet, Health Ministry director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also announced that 15,396 patients have been cured, with the total discharged now stands at 2,086,111.
Sarawak recorded the highest number of fresh cases with 2,121, followed by Selangor (1,386), Kelantan (1,288) and Johor (1,124). – Oct 3, 2021.
