THE Health Ministry announced 1,302 new COVID-19 infections and four deaths in the past 24 hours.
In a statement, Health Ministry director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also announced that there were 1,127 recoveries, bringing the total number of those recovered to 326,309.
“We have a total number of 341,944 infection cases as of now. Unfortunately, four people have lost their lives to the coronavirus, bringing the total death toll to 1,255,” he added.
All who died were locals.
This time, Sarawak detected the highest number of infections today at 426, followed by Selangor (256) and Penang (212).
On related matter, Noor Hisham announced that his ministry has detected only three new clusters in the country.
Each one of them are workplace related, community and detention centre-based infections.
“With that, we have 381 active clusters. Fourteen clusters have ended today. Three clusters that contributed to the high number of cases today are Semuja Immigration Depot (191), Pagar Bukit Chagar (52) and Teknologi Bukit Minyak (45),” he remarked. March 28, 2021.
