COVID-19: S’gor records highest infection to date, 91 fatalities

Malaysia recorded a daily infection rate of 9,105 cases today, bringing the cumulative total to 836,296.

In a tweet, Health Ministry director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also announced that 5,194 patients have been cured, with the total discharged now stands at 742,297.

“Ninety-one people have succumbed today, bringing the death tally to 6,158,” he added.

Selangor recorded the highest number of fresh cases with 4,682, followed by Kuala Lumpur (1,247), Negeri Sembilan (541) and Johor (392).

“Of the current active cases, 961 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 455 of them in need of ventilator support,” he remarked. – July 11, 2021.
