COVID-19: Slight dip in fresh cases within the country with 199 deaths

MALAYSIA recorded a daily infection rate of 11,985 cases today, bringing the cumulative total to 951,884.

In a tweet, Health Ministry director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also announced that 7,902 patients have been cured, with the total discharged now stands at 806,857.

“199 people have succumbed today, bringing the death tally to 7,440,” he added.

Selangor recorded the highest number of fresh cases with 5,550 infections, followed by Kuala Lumpur (1,174), Kedah (800) and Negri Sembilan (745).

“Of the current active cases, 927 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 459 of them in need of ventilator support,” he remarked. – July 21, 2021.
