THE Health Ministry today reported 869 new COVID-19 cases and six deaths as of 12pm today.
Of the 869 cases, 868 are local cases while the remaining is a import case.
In a press conference, the ministry’s director general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that 725 patients have recovered from the coronavirus as well.
“Therefore, the total cases of COVID-19 in the country is at 42,050. The total recovery cases now stand at 30,304.
“With six deaths recorded today, the total number of those who have lost their lives to COVID-19 is now at 300,” he added.
The ministry also reported 11, 446 active cases, where 82 cases are being treated at the intensive care unit with 27 requiring life support equipment.
