COVID-19 update: 957 new cases and zero deaths recorded

THE Health Ministry today reported 957 new COVID-19 cases with no deaths as of 12pm.

According to the ministry’s facebook post, there are 10,036 active cases and 972 have recovered from the coronavirus.

This brings the total cases of COVID-19 in the country to 32, 505 with the total recovery cases now standing at 22, 220.

With zero deaths recorded today, the total number of those who have lost their lives to COVID-19 is now at 249.

On a related matter, United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd (UOB Malaysia) in a statement today has confirmed that a non-customer facing employee at Menara UOB on Jalan Raja Laut has tested positive for COVID-19.

The bank said, the employee is now under medical care and it is assisting her and her family with all the support they may need through to her recovery.

UOB also said it is currently completing a thorough cleansing of all affected floors and common areas of Menara UOB in accordance with health authority’s guidelines. – Nov 1, 2020
