CSR campaign says thanks to food frontliners

FOODPANDA, a leading online delivery service, in collaboration with Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) has launched #HanyaKeranamu, a user-generated content (UGC)-led corporate social responsibility campaign that aims to bring Malaysians closer together.

Its head of marketing, Fabian Emanuel said the campaign garners the support of Malaysians to thank food frontliners across the nation via the hashtag #HanyaKeranamu.

“Malaysians can share their positive messages, words of encouragement and thank yous to the food frontliners via their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram posts,” he said in a statement today.

Emanuel said all messages gathered via the hashtag will be shared with the frontliners via dynamic digital billboards daily, while Malaysians practise social distancing.

#HanyaKeranamu bridges the gap and helps establish the connection between customers and the food frontliners.

“We wanted to shed light on the unsung heroes in the food industry; those working in the background to ensure Malaysians have food on their tables. And what better way to thank them than to provide a platform for all Malaysians to show their gratitude towards our food frontliners.

“When customers place an order, they are not only putting a meal on their table, but on the tables of the farmers and fishermen, the lorry drivers that transport the fresh produce to the restaurants, the chefs who prepare the food, and the riders that deliver those warm meals right to your doorstep,” Emanuel said.

He said #HanyaKeranamu aims at uniting Malaysians to spread a positive message to all food frontliners, and it is important that Malaysians work together and show their support to one another, to come out of these trying times stronger than before.

“What better way to do so then to share their thank you where the (food) frontliners can see it,” he said.

A 60-second digital video where people express their heartfelt thank yous to the heroes of the nation for their selflessness, toiling during the movement control order period can be viewed on foodpanda’s youtube page.

The television commercial is airing on Media Prima, Astro, RTM, News, Lifestyle, Video on-demand streaming platforms until the end of April. — April 24, 2020, Bernama
