The US and the Houthis in Yemen have agreed on a ceasefire deal, after a series of US air strikes on the rebel group for more than a month.
The group has agreed to stop attacking ships in the Red Sea, following negotiations brokered by Oman.
Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the deal will ensure freedom of navigation and hopes it will lead to further progress on regional peace.
The Houthis have been attacking vessels since Israel began its war on Gaza in 2023. US President Donald Trump ordered air strikes against the group in March.
