EON unveils new stylish logo

EDARAN Otomobil Nasional Bhd (EON), the distributor of Proton cars, has unveiled a new logo to mark the inclusion of Proton as a new marque under its stable.

“The new logo, which is our third version todate, is a total departure from EON’s previous logo,” the company said in a statement today.

 Explaining on the new look, EON said the new logo sports a stylised red “E” that sits within a blue diamond, showing a forward-movement motion.

Delving into details, it noted that the red “E” depicts the boldness of the brand while the blue diamond reflects the strength of the company, as well as the typical traits that are associated with the colour: loyalty and wisdom.

Along with the new logo, the 36-year-old company that retails a number of automotive brands in Malaysia, also announced that it has commenced its Proton retailing business.

It now owns nine dealerships, which were previously owned by Proton Edar Sdn Bhd. They include four 4S (sales, service, spares and spray) centres and three 3S outlets.

It said, four of the branches are located in the central region, and two branches each in Johor and Penang.

Upbeat on the prospects, EON stated: “With Proton making a strong comeback with a new and revised model range, we are well-positioned to take advantage of the popularity of the national car. 

“With Proton joining the rest of brands already managed by EON, it gives our stable further sheen,” it added.

Presently, EON also sells German marques Audi and Volkswagen as well as Japan’s Mitsubishi range. – Nov 1, 2020
